Private Training

Sometimes the most powerful place to learn is your own home. Our private training brings the Academy directly to your family – personal, unhurried, one-to-one coaching shaped entirely around your child, your helper, your routines and your space. There are no other families in the room, no fixed curriculum to keep pace with, and nothing generic: just focused, expert attention on what your household actually needs.

Each programme is designed and delivered personally by Kim, drawing on more than twenty years in early childhood education. This is the same depth of expertise families come to for private consultations – now turned towards training your helper (and supporting you) so that every adult in your home cares for your child with the same knowledge, warmth and confidence.

Bespoke In-Home Helper Training

Age Focus: 0-8 years | Format: Private In-House or Virtual

Duration: 2 hours | Language: English

One-to-one training designed entirely around your family. We begin by understanding the whole picture – your child’s age and stage, the shape of the day, your routines and values, and where your helper would most benefit from guidance and reassurance.

Your trainer then coaches your helper warmly and respectfully in your own home, covering the areas that matter most to you: daily routines and transitions, responding calmly to tantrums and big feelings, language and communication, mealtimes, rest, home safety and play.

Every session is hands-on, practical and delivered in plain, friendly language – building skills and confidence so your helper feels equipped, never criticised.

Takeaways: Families receive a simple written summary after each session, so every adult in the household can follow the same calm, consistent approach.

Who is the for: Ideal for families who want training shaped around their own child, home and routines – including new babies, toddler behaviour, or a helper who is new to childcare.

Age Focus: 0-8 years| Format: Private In-House

Duration: 2 hours | Language: English

A joyful, practical programme that transforms how your helper plays with your child – using the toys, books and spaces you already have at home.

In this training you helper will learn:

  • the essentials of child development for the ages of the children in her care, then shows her exactly how to put it into practice

  • how to play alongside a child (and when to step back)

  • how to set up and lead simple sensory play safely and with minimal mess

  • how to introduce art and creative activities

  • how to rotate toys so they stay exciting

  • how to create highly efficient play spaces – inviting little areas that encourage longer, happier independent play, even in a compact apartment.

Takeaways: Your helper finishes with a personalised play plan matched to your child’s age and stage, plus ideas to grow with them over the months ahead, access to resources and a certificate.

Who is this for: Ideal for families who want richer, screen-free days at home – and a helper who can confidently lead purposeful play using what you already own.

What to Expect from our Private Training

Private training is warm, practical and completely tailored – never a lecture, and never a test for anyone. We begin by understanding your whole picture: your child’s stage of development, the shape of your days, what is working, what feels hard, and where your helper would most like to grow. From there, every session is hands-on and built around your family.

Rather than training your helper in isolation, we coach within the real rhythm of your home – so new skills are learned exactly where they will be used: in your kitchen, your play space, on the walk to the park. You are welcome to be as involved as you wish, and many parents find they gain just as much as their helper.

A typical pathway

  • A relaxed first session to meet everyone, understand your household and observe a natural slice of the day – nothing formal, and never a test

  • A tailored plan and hands-on coaching for your helper, in plain, friendly language everyone can follow – covering the areas that matter most to you

  • Warm, respectful teaching that builds your helper’s skills and confidence so she feels equipped, not criticised

  • Follow-up as your household puts it into practice – answering questions, fine-tuning, and celebrating progress as your little one settles

  • A simple written summary you can keep, so every adult in the home shares one calm, consistent approach

Note: some families choose a single focused session; others prefer a series over a few weeks. We will always recommend honestly, and the choice remains entirely yours.

What We Can Cover

This is your training, so we shape it around your priorities – add or remove anything. Popular focus areas include:

  • Ages & stages – Child development – understanding your child’s age and stage, what to expect next, and how to support it every day

  • Play & sensory play – Setting up and leading sensory play, arts and crafts, and purposeful activities matched to your child’s stage – confidently and with minimal mess

  • Play spaces & toy rotation – Creating inviting, efficient play spaces at home – ‘yes spaces’, calm corners and toy rotation that invite happy, independent play, even in a compact flat

  • Routines, transitions & behaviour – Predictable cues, warnings and rituals that make transitions feel safe – and calm, consistent ways to prevent and respond to tantrums and big feelings

  • Language & communication – Naming feelings, offering choices, key words and gestures, reading aloud with confidence, and responsive talk that grows language and reduces frustration

  • Mealtimes, rest & routine – Calm, positive mealtimes; gentle support for rest and sleep habits; and healthy daily rhythms

  • Home safety – Home safety and set-up for a curious, newly mobile child – practical, room-by-room

  • Newborn & baby care – Newborn and baby care – settling, feeding support, tummy time, safe sleep and baby play for families with a new arrival

  • Consistency across caregivers – A shared, written approach so parents and helper respond the same calm way – because children settle fastest when every adult is consistent

Why Choose Private Training

Workshops and online courses are wonderful – and for many families, private training is the perfect complement or the ideal starting point. Here is why families choose it:

  • Completely tailored – built around your child, your helper, your home and your goals; nothing generic, nothing you don’t need

  • Learned where it’s used – skills are coached in your real kitchen, play space and routines, so they stick from day one

  • One-to-one attention – no other families in the room; every minute is focused on your household

  • The whole household aligned – parents and helper coached in the same approach, so your child receives one calm, consistent message from everyone

  • Two decades of expertise, personally – designed and delivered by Kim, with over twenty years in early childhood education, degrees in Early Childhood Education, Community and Family Services, and Teaching

  • Flexible and discreet – sessions arranged around your family’s week, including weekends, with complete confidentiality always

  • Confidence that lasts – your helper leaves equipped and proud, and you gain calmer, happier, more settled days

Wherever You Are – In-Home, Virtual or Overseas

Private training does not have to happen in person, or in Hong Kong. Many families train just as successfully by video – and it opens the same expert support to families anywhere in the world.

  • In person – In your Hong Kong home – our most popular option, with hands-on coaching in your own space

  • Virtual – By video call – the same tailored programme delivered live online, ideal for busy schedules, or when you prefer coaching without a visitor in the home; just as personal, wonderfully convenient

  • Around the world – Wherever home is – expat and overseas families are warmly welcome; we regularly support households beyond Hong Kong, coaching your helper and family by video across time zones

Many families combine the two – an in-person start, then virtual follow-ups – for the best of both. We will help you choose whatever suits your household best.

Options and Fees

Every family is different, so after a free discovery call we will recommend the right level of support – but for full transparency, here is the menu. In-person and virtual sessions are available across every option.

Discovery Call

Free · A complimentary 15–20 minute video call to understand your family and answer your questions – no obligation, simply a chance to see if we are the right fit.

Single Focused Session

HK$2,100 · Approx. 1.5 hours plus a written summary. A focused assessment and coaching session with clear next steps for you and your helper. Best for a specific challenge or a confident starting point.

Three-Session Bundle

HK$4,900 · A 1.5-hour first session plus two one-hour follow-ups. Assessment, dedicated helper coaching and a progress review – our most popular option, with time to embed new routines and fine-tune as your child responds.

Tailored Family Package

from HK$8,800 · Five or more sessions including the first session, with dedicated helper training and message support over 4–6 weeks. Fuller, hands-held support while new routines settle in – ideal for bigger goals or ongoing change.

Our honest recommendation: if you would like your helper fully trained as well as your routine reviewed, the three-session bundle or tailored package tends to offer the best value – there is time for assessment, dedicated coaching and follow-up. But there is no pressure whatsoever: many families begin with a single session and build from there, and the choice always remains yours.

Note for overseas/virtual families: pricing is the same for virtual sessions. For in-person visits to outlying islands or country-park homes a small transport charge may apply, always confirmed before booking.
